Nick Glasson
Dr Nick Glasson is a Senior Research Manager at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, specialising in language assessment and interactional competence. He completed his PhD at the University of Bedfordshire, where his doctoral research received the 2025 TOEFL Jacqueline Ross Dissertation Award. His work has been published in leading assessment journals, and he is an active conference presenter and reviewer for several international journals in applied linguistics and language assessment.
Caitlin Bertolino
Based in Washington, DC., Caitlin Bertolino is a Crime Analyst for the Metropolitan Police Department. She received her MSc in Forensic Psychology from King’s College London in the UK following her BA in Criminology and Psychology from American University in DC. Her work focuses on statistics and intelligence while also leveraging her psychology background to understand the nuances of criminogenic behavior.
Lexi Slome
Lexi Slome, Ph.D., is a linguist and trial consultant based in the U.S. who uses her background in sociolinguistics and courtroom discourse to help shape trial narratives. Through undergraduate studies in linguistics and psychology, Ph.D. research examining the language of opening statements, and experience working as a trial consultant on a wide variety of legal cases, she has developed a multifaceted understanding of how story, discourse, and juror psychology shape decision-making in the courtroom. Her job is to use this understanding to conduct thorough jury research and provide strategic recommendations to help trial teams navigate complex or charged issues at trial.
